Overview
Custom domains let you serve your customer portal and Composer registry from your own domain, providing a seamless branded experience.
Domain types
Your Composer registry or repository and customer-facing pages are served from the same domain.
Setting up a custom domain
- Go to
Settings->Domains. - Enter your custom domain.
- Click
Connect. - Configure the given DNS records for your domain.
- Wait for DNS propagation and verification.
You will receive an email when your domain is ready to use.
Hosted domains
Privato also offers a free subdomain, such as acme.privato.pub, to all users. This domain remains active alongside your custom domain so customers who already use it do not need to update their Composer configuration.
